Although the Party and the Government have always been concerned, during the development process of the Central Highlands region, many limitations and weaknesses have been revealed; The gap between rich and poor between ethnic groups is slowly narrowing; The number of poor and near-poor households is large and the risk of falling back into poverty is still high; The rate of communes meeting new rural standards is still low; Intra-regional and inter-regional links are not tight; Regional and inter-regional infrastructure networks are lacking and weak, especially strategic infrastructure (transportation, healthcare, education) has not met the requirements for development...
On that basis, through reports of ministries, branches and localities, the Ministry of Planning and Investment reviewed policy groups in 4 sectors and fields, including: Policy group on infrastructure investment development traffic connection; Policy group for forest and water resource development management; Social security policy group; Policy group on health, education and training. These are important policy groups for development that harmoniously combine economic, cultural, social development, protection of natural resources and environment closely linked with defense, security and foreign affairs.
Participating in comments at the meeting, representatives of the People's Committee leaders and leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment of localities in the Central Highlands region expressed high agreement with the contents of the draft Report; At the same time, additional emphasis is placed on specific mechanisms and policies belonging to groups of mechanisms and policies.
