TTH.VN - On May 26, UVTV Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh had a meeting with the delegation of the Swiss Federal Economic Service (SECO) on the Sustainable Tourism Development Project of Switzerland in Vietnam (ST5SD) funded by the Swiss Government, period 4-2023 (DA).
Mr. Ken Wood - Chief Coordinator of the DA said that the DA wants to contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive tourism industry in Vietnam, thereby promoting public-private dialogue on tourism policy, development of management skills and sustainable tourism business. In particular, supporting national policy makers in promoting policies on sustainable tourism such as national and local tourism development policies and master plans as well as other related policies...
The project will have 3 components, including: Dialogue mechanism between regulatory agencies and the private sector; find suitable experts and training units; connecting with partners who are destination management agencies, business support units, key private partners, social organizations.
Talking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh highly appreciated the significance of the project in building a more sustainable and comprehensive tourism industry.
The province also has an orientation to develop green tourism, sustainable tourism, with many typical and impressive products and services, towards sustainable development. Therefore, focusing on building and completing a set of sustainable tourism criteria; at the same time, calling for units to invest in and upgrade infrastructure for tourism development.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh hopes that Thua Thien Hue is one of the selected localities to implement the project.
