FPT Play continues to exclusively broadcast the American National Basketball Association (NBA) in Vietnam - Graphic: AN BINH

This is the second agreement reached between this unit and the National Basketball Association (NBA) since 2022. It makes FPT Play the only domestic television service to hold the rights to broadcast the NBA for six consecutive seasons.

Notably, this agreement is the first time domestic fans have the opportunity to fully enjoy all the major basketball leagues on the planet. From the Preseason, Regular Season, Play-In Tournament, Playoffs to the NBA Finals, along with other special events such as the NBA All-Star Weekend, All-Star Celebrity, and NBA Draft… All will be broadcast in international standard quality with lively and in-depth Vietnamese commentary.

Of the 209-226 games selected each season, the number of games per round will increase to 180 Regular Season games, 22-34 Playoffs games, 7 NBA Cup Finals/Play-in tournament games, and 5 Preseason games (starting in the 2026-2027 season).

This means that domestic audiences can enjoy exciting and captivating NBA games almost every day.

Right from the first week of competition (October 22nd to 29th), viewers will witness a series of noteworthy matchups. The highlight of the opening series is the "epic battle" taking place in Los Angeles between two modern basketball "empires," the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers.

In addition, fans shouldn't miss other exciting matches such as the Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, the Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks, or the Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors. These are the places where young stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Tamar Bates are ready to challenge veteran legends.

The NBA is the world's oldest professional basketball league. Starting from the 2022-2023 season, the NBA organizers have made significant changes in promoting its image in the Vietnamese market in particular and Asia in general.
