Xuan Bac was awarded the title of People's Artist

According to Decision No. 1431/QD-CTN signed by President Vo Van Thuong on November 28, 42 individuals were awarded the title of People's Artist, including Meritorious Artist Xuan Bac.

Meritorious Artist Xuan Bac was born in 1976 in Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province. He graduated from Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. He has been working at the Vietnam Drama Theater until now.

Xuan Bac is known through many films such as: 12A-4H, Dong Loc Intersection, Moc's Story, Waves on the Bottom of the River, Bright Road, Two Sides of the Horizon...

Meritorious Artist Xuan Bac was awarded the title of People's Artist.

In addition to his role as an actor, Xuan Bac is also one of the famous and beloved comedians in the Tao Quan program. Besides his acting career, Xuan Bac is also the MC of a number of programs such as Catch the word, Vietnamese King, Thank God You're Here...

For his contributions to artistic activities, Xuan Bac was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2016. In 2021, he was appointed Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater.

Besides acting and MCing, Xuan Bac actively participates in many group activities, social movements, volunteer movements and has a positive influence on the public, especially young people.

He was once awarded the title of Outstanding Youth of the Capital. In 2010, Xuan Bac was chosen as UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) Goodwill Ambassador for clean water and environmental sanitation. Currently, he is one of the 8 Vice Presidents of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, term VIII.

People's Artist is the highest title awarded by the State to individuals working in the field of culture and arts.

A person awarded the title of People's Artist must have a continuous or cumulative period of professional artistic activity of 20 years or more, and for the Circus and Dance art forms, a continuous or cumulative period of professional artistic activity of 15 years or more.

This person must also be awarded at least two gold prizes or one gold prize and two silver prizes at national, regional or international art festivals and performances and at Central Literature and Arts Associations since being awarded the Meritorious Artist title.
