Cultural performances at the "Spring at the Border - Warming the Hearts of the Coastal People" program.
Every Lunar New Year, the "Border Guard Spring - Warming the Hearts of Coastal People" program embodies the spirit of sharing and solidarity between border guards and the people of coastal areas, where they are working day and night to maintain peace on the front lines of the Fatherland. The program contributes to providing Tết (Lunar New Year) support for families receiving government assistance, impoverished households, those who have contributed to the revolution, and students participating in the "Helping Children Go to School" program in the two communes of Hoằng Tiến and Hoằng Thanh.
At the event, the organizers presented 100 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages to disadvantaged families and beneficiaries of social policies; and awarded gifts and scholarships to 7 students being sponsored by the Hoang Truong Border Guard Station. These gifts represent the heartfelt contributions of the border guards themselves, as well as support and collaboration from various units, philanthropists, businesses, business associations, and other organizations, with a total program value of nearly 90 million VND.
Among the students receiving gifts, some come from disadvantaged families, with parents working in the fishing industry and earning unstable incomes. Their education depends heavily on the support and encouragement of their families and the community. Therefore, these gifts at the beginning of the year not only have material significance but also serve as a source of encouragement, giving them more confidence and motivation to continue striving in their studies.

Lunar New Year gifts were distributed to people in difficult circumstances in coastal areas.
Bui Thi Nga, a 7th-grade student from Hoang Phu Secondary School and one of the students assisted by the Hoang Truong Border Guard in the "Helping Children Go to School" program, shared: "I am very grateful for the care and help of the soldiers at Hoang Truong Border Guard Post. I will try my best to overcome difficulties and study hard so as not to disappoint my parents, teachers, and the soldiers."
In the back rows of the hall, many elderly people and families in difficult circumstances gratefully received gifts from the Border Guard and generous donors. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Sanh, a poor household in Hamlet 4, Hoang Tien Commune, was deeply moved upon receiving her Tet gift. The concern shown by the local authorities, the Border Guard, and charitable organizations was truly meaningful to her and many other disadvantaged households in Hoang Tien and Hoang Thanh communes during the Tet holiday.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Sanh, a member of a poor household in Hamlet 4, Hoang Tien Commune, attended the program and received Tet gifts from the border guards.
Interspersed throughout the program were cultural and artistic performances and exchanges organized by border guards and soldiers, in collaboration with local units and authorities. The simple songs and melodies, imbued with the spirit of spring, contributed to a joyful and cohesive atmosphere between border guards and the local people. This was an opportunity for border guards, local authorities, and the people to participate, share, and contribute to a warm and meaningful Tet (Lunar New Year) celebration in this coastal region.
Earlier, on January 29th, the Hoang Truong Border Guard Station, in coordination with Medic Hai Tien General Hospital, organized free medical examinations, health consultations, and medication distribution for impoverished households in Hoang Tien and Hoang Thanh communes. The activity was enthusiastically received by the local people, contributing to healthcare for disadvantaged individuals during the end of the year.
Evaluating the significance of the program, local leaders affirmed that "Spring at the Border Guard - Warming the Hearts of Coastal People" is a deeply humane activity, clearly demonstrating the role and responsibility of the Border Guard force in accompanying local Party committees and authorities in caring for the lives of people in coastal border areas. Through concrete and practical actions, the program contributes to strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people, building a solid all-people border defense posture from the grassroots level.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Tuan, Commander of Hoang Truong Border Guard Station, presents gifts to students participating in the "Helping Children Go to School" program.
On behalf of the Party Committee and Command of Hoang Truong Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Tuan, Station Chief, expressed his hope that the officials and people of Hoang Tien and Hoang Thanh communes would continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity, unity of will and action, and, through practical solutions, overcome difficulties and challenges, striving to achieve the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2026. He also urged them to regularly coordinate closely with Hoang Truong Border Guard Station in firmly protecting border sovereignty and security, maintaining political security and social order in the area; and to continue caring for policy beneficiary families and families with special difficulties so that they can enjoy a warm and joyful Lunar New Year.
The program has ended, but its impact lingers in the eyes and smiles of the local people and students who received gifts. For the border guards of Hoang Truong, this is also the motivation for them to continue to be committed to the area, fulfilling their duties in protecting the sovereignty and security of the maritime border and ensuring the peaceful lives of the people.
