Recalling the aftermath of Typhoon No. 10 in September 2025, the Party Secretary of Lang Manh village, Ho A Tru, was still shaken: "At that time, we hadn't even finished dealing with Typhoon No. 5 when Typhoon No. 10 struck. There were no roads, no electricity, and communication was intermittent; Lang Manh was isolated. The villagers looked at each other, their tears mixing with the rain."

Even in that situation, Lang Manh village was not alone. With the decisive leadership of the Party Committee and the government of Son Luong commune, and the joint efforts of philanthropists from all over the country, relief supplies were transported by hand through the forest to the village. A "revolution" in rebuilding life was urgently underway.
Mr. Tru shared: “The commune repaired the main roads with machinery, while the people worked together to deal with small landslides, relocate houses to safe places, and reconnect broken water pipes to ensure water was brought back in time for production and daily life… After more than a month, the lives of 60 households in the village have returned to normal.”
On the last day of 2025, more than 20 km of dirt road with over 100 landslides from Nam Muoi to the village was cleared, allowing small trucks to pass. Trucks carrying roofing materials, water pipes, fertilizer, and agricultural supplies made their way into Lang Manh village. All 7 households whose houses were damaged have rebuilt. Twelve generators, donated by benefactors, provide enough electricity to light up 90% of the villagers' homes at night.

Mr. Giàng A Cha, from Làng Mảnh village, happily said: “Thanks to the government's support of 100 million VND and the villagers' labor contributions, my family has completed the relocation and rebuilt our new house in a safer location. This Tet, we have a new house, and we have enough food to last until the next harvest, so we have nothing to worry about anymore.”
The village also mobilized its workforce to clean up the fields, clear the irrigation canals, and prepare the necessary conditions for cultivating 16 hectares of rice paddies for the upcoming spring crop. Some areas of rice paddies that could not be salvaged have been repurposed for fish ponds. Cinnamon trees have also been planted in areas affected by landslides…
Overcoming difficulties, by the end of 2025, Lang Manh village had reduced the number of poor households by 6, and over 70% of households had achieved the title of "Culturally Advanced Family". The entire village has 115 hectares of cinnamon, 100 hectares of Shan Tuyet tea, and on average each family has 1 hectare of cardamom and bamboo shoots. As a result, many households have a relatively high income, over 100 million VND/year, such as the households of Mr. Giang A Dua, Giang A Pao, Ho A Chu...

After the Lunar New Year, with funding from social contributions, Lang Manh village will continue to begin concreting a 100-meter section of road leading to the kindergarten and prepare the ground for a new cultural center…
Despite the many difficulties that remain, the warmth of community sharing and the resilience of the local people are "weaving" an early spring – a warm spring of unity and human kindness, giving strength to help Lang Manh village rise up.
