Mr. Bach Khanh Nhut - Vice President of Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS) - said that the reason for the decrease in cashew nut exports in the first two months of the year is because the market this year is a bit quiet.

Buyers are waiting for the new crop season to begin. In addition, there are many goods purchased in the past, and there are still stocks in foreign warehouses, so importers are limiting their purchases.

In 2024, Vietnam exported 730,000 tons of processed cashew nuts, bringing in 4.37 billion USD, up 13.3% in volume and 20.2% in value compared to 2023. The average export price was about 6,003 USD/ton, up 6.1% compared to 2023. The Vietnam Cashew Association also forecast that cashew nut exports will earn about 4.5 billion USD this year.
