Sharing about the "memorable" tasks he had strived to complete successfully, which were recognized and highly appreciated by his superiors, Lieutenant Ha Cong Luc emotionally and proudly recalled that he was one of the officers and soldiers of the Hue City Border Guard selected to go to Hanoi to train and participate in the parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd (A80).

“Anyone selected to participate in a mission on this momentous national anniversary feels honored and proud. But alongside that, there is inevitably anxiety. Anxiety stems from the intense training process lasting four months; any ‘mistake’ in health could prevent them from fulfilling the mission and force them to return,” Lieutenant Ha Cong Luc confided.

The young border guard said that, representing the youth of the Hue City Border Guard in the A80 parade, he had to strive in training to excellently complete the tasks assigned by his superiors. In the training group for the A80 parade, more than half had previously trained and participated in A50 (the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), held in Ho Chi Minh City). Therefore, "new recruits" like Lieutenant Luc determined and resolved to double their efforts.

Thus, he focused his will and determination, progressing through intense physical training, practicing key techniques and movements (including Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings), to group training; joint training between armed forces; and national-level preliminary and final rehearsals for the entire contingent. Regardless of sun or rain, with sweat soaking his uniform every day, Lieutenant Ha Cong Luc overcame all difficulties and hardships, proudly participating in the grand ceremony, marching alongside the Border Guard officers, and successfully completing his assigned mission.

Previously, as the team leader of the Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Team at Quang Nham Border Guard Station, Senior Lieutenant Ha Cong Luc and his teammates endured harsh conditions in the forests, sleeping in the cold mountain winds at night to monitor and prevent illegal activities and apprehend criminals.

During his time working at the Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Department (now the Operations Department) of the Hue City Border Guard Command, under the assignment of his superiors, Mr. Luc regularly coordinated with the local forces of the Operations Department to effectively carry out basic operational work, closely managing individuals with suspicious behavior related to national security activities, drug-related crimes, criminal offenses, smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods, and illegal transportation of goods across the border and sea areas; at the same time, he closely managed individuals, ringleaders, and businesses with suspicious behavior related to criminal activities and violations of the law.

“Currently serving as the Reconnaissance Team Leader of Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station, Senior Lieutenant Luc regularly studies and learns, promptly proposing appropriate plans and strategies for different types of targets and areas. This helps the unit commander accurately assess the situation of the area and targets, and direct reconnaissance work in accordance with reality,” shared Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Dung, Political Officer of Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station.

Lieutenant Colonel Cao Chi Luyen, Deputy Head of Political Affairs of the City Border Guard Command, highly praised the pioneering spirit and achievements of Senior Lieutenant Ha Cong Luc. “Senior Lieutenant Luc deserves to be recognized as an outstanding young figure of 2025 for his contributions to the City Border Guard Command in protecting the peaceful lives of the people, ensuring political security and social order, and working towards cleaning up the border area, eliminating hotspots of drug-related and other crimes,” affirmed Lieutenant Colonel Cao Chi Luyen.
