On the afternoon of March 3rd, a mattress factory spanning approximately 2,000 square meters located in Hamlet 1, Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City, caught fire. The flames then spread to a rubber manufacturing factory. Both factories were completely destroyed and collapsed.
By over 4 PM on the same day, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoc Mon District Police had basically brought the fire under control.

At the scene, the mattress factory was completely burned down. The corrugated iron roof had collapsed everywhere, and the mattress fabric was charred and smothered. Similarly, the rubber factory next to the mattress factory was in a similar state. Authorities managed to remove a 7-seater car from the scene of the fire at the mattress factory.

Earlier, residents living near Hamlet 1, Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City, saw a tall column of smoke accompanied by several loud explosions. Upon investigation, they discovered a mattress manufacturing factory, approximately 2,000 square meters in size, engulfed in flames.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoc Mon District Police quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
The cause and extent of the damage from the fire are currently being investigated by the police in Hoc Mon district.
Earlier, late on the evening of February 24th, a similar fire occurred in Ho Chi Minh City. Residents living on Nguyen Van Tra Street (Hamlet 1, Vinh Loc B Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) saw smoke and flames accompanied by a burning smell. Upon going to investigate, many were horrified to see a fierce fire raging at address A9/26 Nguyen Van Tra Street.
According to observations at the scene, at least three workshops were on fire. Significantly, these three workshops produced wood, glue, and helmets – materials that are highly flammable, making firefighting efforts difficult.
By 10:15 PM the same day, the fire was largely under control. The fire caused no casualties, but many properties were completely destroyed.
