At the construction site of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism's headquarters in Yen Binh commune, the atmosphere remains vibrant with activity even during the holidays. The sounds of machinery, hammers, and material cutting echo continuously, blending with the bustling work of the laborers on each section.

From 6 a.m., Mr. Khuat The Luc, a worker at Hoang Trung Construction Joint Stock Company, and his colleagues were already present at the construction site, quickly getting to work. For many, the holiday is a time for rest, but for Mr. Luc, this is a crucial period to accelerate and speed up the completion of the project.
Mr. Luc shared: "Working on holidays brings higher income, but what's more important is responsibility towards the job. The project is in its final stages, and any delay will affect the overall plan. Even though I have to work on my day off, I'm still happy because I'm contributing to completing the project on schedule."

The atmosphere at the construction site was extremely busy. Not only Mr. Luc, but nearly 20 workers from Hoang Trung Construction Joint Stock Company continued working throughout the holiday. The teams were organized efficiently, ensuring both the progress was maintained and all occupational safety requirements were strictly adhered to.
Mr. Do Binh Duong, a technical officer of the company, said: “The project has entered its final stage, so maintaining construction during the holiday is essential. The company has made appropriate arrangements for manpower allocation and has implemented incentive and support programs to ensure that the team can work with peace of mind. The goal is to complete the project on schedule and hand it over to the investor in June.”

Amidst the early summer sun, the construction workers diligently worked with each brick and each batch of concrete. Sweat soaked their shirts, but their faces still shone with faith and pride in contributing to projects that serve the community.

Not only at construction sites, but also at many factories and enterprises, production was maintained continuously throughout the holiday. At Yen Binh Brick Factory (a branch of Vietnam-China Refractory Materials and Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company), 100% of workers continued working in shifts to ensure the production line operated stably.

The brick manufacturing industry is characterized by continuous operation; stopping the kiln would affect product quality and production efficiency. Therefore, even on holidays, production teams, from shaping and kiln operation to loading and unloading and mechanical work, operate at full capacity.
Mr. Hoang Duc Luoc, a worker at the factory, said: “We are used to working in shifts, even on holidays. Everyone proactively arranges their family affairs to participate in production. Working on these days ensures order deadlines are met and provides additional income. On average, workers earn between 13 and 15 million VND per month, so everyone feels secure and committed to the job.”

To motivate employees, the company implements a suitable salary and bonus system. On holidays, workers receive a 200% increase in salary, along with timely support and encouragement.
Mr. Tran Xuan Giang, Director of Yen Binh Brick Factory, said: “In recent years, the income of workers has improved significantly. Therefore, when the factory implements its production plan during the holiday period, most workers agree. Our goal is to maintain stable production, complete the set plan, thereby improving the lives of workers and contributing to the local budget.”
Thanks to the collective efforts of its staff and workers, Yen Binh Brick Factory is aiming to produce 40 million bricks this year, meeting market demand and serving construction projects both within and outside the province.

In reality, maintaining production during holidays not only helps businesses ensure deadlines, stabilize the supply chain, and effectively utilize production capacity, but also clearly demonstrates the responsibility, dedication, and discipline of the workers.
The enthusiastic work ethic of workers during holidays at construction sites, factories, and workshops is contributing to the creation of new projects, quality products, and timely order fulfillment, thereby promoting socio -economic development and gradually improving the lives of the people.
