Responding to the 3rd Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024, with the aim of spreading reading habits to students, promoting and developing reading culture in schools, improving the quality of education... Zhishan Foundation donated 24 bookcases to preschools in Dakrong district and 28 bookcases to preschools in Gio Linh district.
Through the activity of donating books to preschools, Zhi Shan Foundation recommends and encourages schools to reserve space and set up libraries at the preschool level according to Circular 16 of the Ministry of Education and Training. |
On the occasion of receiving the books, the leader of the Dakrong District Department of Education shared: We are here in an event full of humane meaning: Giving away bookcases to kindergartens, today's event is even more special. Especially as we look towards Vietnam Book Day April 21 and Lifelong Learning Week 4.

Head of the Project Office of Zhishan Foundation Taiwan, Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy said: we have recommended and encouraged schools to reserve space and set up libraries at the preschool level according to Circular 16 of the Ministry of Education and Training. Yesterday I saw the products in some schools. Although there are still many things lacking, this is something worth respecting and encouraging. Zhi-shan will provide practical support for schools to proactively build libraries.
Even though preschool children are not yet literate, they still listen and understand the stories read and told by the teacher. Children are very interested in the stories in books, can look at pictures and narrate, and can even imagine and create in a very cute way.
Zhishan Foundation Taiwan is a non-profit organization, established in 1995. The organization has been implementing many health and education support projects for Vietnamese children, especially in 6 central provinces including: Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Quang Ngai provinces. |

On September 8, the Zhi-Shan Foundation Project Office in Vietnam coordinated with the Children's Fund of Quang Tri province, the Department of Education and Training and preschools in Dakrong district, Quang Tri province to organize Ceremony of awarding boarding fees and soy milk for the first semester of the 9-1 school year to more than 2022 children in 2023 preschools in Dakrong district with a value of nearly 2.000 billion VND. |
