Mrs. Trieu (Chinese: 趙婆), also known as Trieu Au (趙嫗, “Mrs. Trieu”), Trieu Trinh Nuong (趙貞娘), Trieu Thi Trinh (趙氏貞), Trieu Quoc Trinh (November 8, 226 – April 4, 248), is one of the national heroes in Vietnamese history. Folk legend tells that in the Cam Truong region at that time there was a very fierce elephant that occasionally came to destroy the crops, causing fear among everyone. To eliminate this threat to the people, Mrs. Trieu gathered her friends to capture the ferocious elephant.
