10 trains on the Nhổn line

TPO - The Nhổn depot station (Tây Tựu ward, Bắc Từ Liêm district, Hanoi ) of the Nhổn - Hanoi Station inner-city railway project is basically complete. After more than 10 years of construction and more than 4 years of assembling train carriages, nearly a dozen trains are now waiting in the depot.

Covering an area of ​​15 hectares, the Nhon - Hanoi Station depot complex includes facilities such as an operations control center (OCC), train hangars, maintenance facilities, electrical engineering buildings, and other supporting structures.

The project commenced on January 12, 2013. According to the initial plan, the constructions here were scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018.

Ten trains for the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway project have been sitting idle in the depot for about four years now.

The area where the trains are assembled has been energized and is heavily guarded.

At the end of 2021, 10 trains for the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro project arrived at the depot. The trains were manufactured according to European standards by Alstom (France).

Recently, trains have been regularly tested and loaded along the elevated section of the line from Nhổn to Cầu Giấy station (in front of the University of Transport and Communications).

The Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line is 12.5 km long, passing through 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations, of which the elevated section (Nhon - Cau Giay) is 8.5 km long and the underground section (Cau Giay - Hanoi Station) is 4 km long.

In addition to the engineering structures, the depot grounds also feature a circular regulating lake in the center of the project, 3 meters deep, to regulate rainwater and enhance the landscape.

The Nhon - Hanoi Station railway project was started in 2009 and was planned for completion in 2015.

After numerous delays, the project is now projected to be completed in 2029, exactly 20 years after construction began.

The prolonged project duration has increased costs, with the total proposed investment reaching VND 34,530 billion, an increase of approximately VND 4,905 billion compared to the initial estimate.
