In Binh Thuan province, a group of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City traveling in Phan Thiet showed symptoms of food poisoning, resulting in 10 people being hospitalized.
On the afternoon of July 15th, the Phan Thiet City Medical Center received 10 patients exhibiting symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea, suspected to be due to food poisoning. By evening, their health had stabilized, they were alert, and some were able to eat and drink normally again.
They were part of a group of 60 people from a medical unit in Ho Chi Minh City who were on a weekend getaway in Phan Thiet. After eating at a restaurant on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Ham Tien Ward, 10 people showed symptoms of food poisoning and were taken to the Phan Thiet City Medical Center for emergency treatment.
The group left some members behind in Phan Thiet to assist the patients, while the rest continued their journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Binh Thuan Department of Health has taken food samples for testing to determine the cause of the poisoning.
