In Traditional Chinese Medicine, chicken eggshells are called "kê tử xác" (kê tử means chicken egg, xác means shell), and the membrane surrounding the eggshell is also known as " phượng hoàng y" . The medicinal properties of chicken eggshells include a mildly sweet taste, neutral nature, and their main effects are hemostasis (stopping bleeding), tissue regeneration (wound healing), neutralizing stomach acid, and supplementing calcium…
Science has now proven that chicken eggshells have many health benefits and are also a raw material for producing very useful products. Chicken eggshells contain up to 90% calcium, and the calcium from eggshells is of the highest quality, equivalent to refined calcium carbonate, and can be used to treat diseases. In addition, eggshells also contain many elements beneficial to health such as iron, copper, manganese, zinc, fluoride, phosphorus, chromium, and molybdenum.

2. How to make eggshell powder
If you want to use eggshells to make flour, you should collect them from boiled or fresh eggs. With fresh eggshells, wash them immediately after cracking to remove any remaining egg white. The thin membrane on the inside of the eggshell can be preserved.
Once you have collected enough eggshells, boil them in water for about 10 minutes to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination. Then, remove them, drain the water, and dry them completely by drying them at 90–100°C for about 10 minutes. If you don't have an oven, you can roast them in a pan over low heat until they are completely dry.
After drying, the eggshells are ground into a very fine powder using a grinder or powder mill. The finished powder should be stored in a clean, tightly sealed glass jar in a cool, dry place. When using, only take out the amount needed.
