According to information from Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City), the two workers involved in the gas asphyxiation incident in the sewer have been discharged after one day of treatment.
Specifically, the health of Mr. TTB (43 years old) and Mr. NKM (22 years old) has improved significantly, with their test results returning to normal after treatment.
Previously, these two patients were transferred to the Emergency Department on July 26th in a state of suffocation and chest tightness due to oxygen deficiency in the blood and tissues, requiring nasal oxygen support. After 30 minutes of respiratory support, Mr. B. and Mr. M. were transferred to the Tropical Diseases Department for further monitoring.

Additionally, the other two patients, VHBA (36 years old) and DBC (33 years old), were admitted in more serious condition and required oxygen masks. After bronchoscopy to remove debris, their respiratory distress improved, and they are continuing to be monitored.
As reported by the Newspaper & Public Opinion, on the morning of July 26th, Mr. KL (38 years old) fainted and became trapped in a sewer while carrying out drainage cleaning work on a road in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon discovering his colleague in distress, Mr. A. (36 years old) immediately went down to help and also fainted. Those who followed to assist also suffered similar fates. The first worker trapped, Mr. KL, died at the scene, while the remaining four victims were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
At the site, the distance from the manhole opening to the bottom was just over 2 meters, and the covers were opened to release all the gas before work began. There was no gas smell rising from the manholes, but the workers who went down inside were all affected.
