Having traversed a long and arduous journey, braving countless waves, Coast Guard vessel 2004 has consistently excelled in its assigned tasks: protecting and constructing offshore oil and gas platforms; particularly in patrolling the border, combating smuggling, and preventing illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; handling hotspots in disputed fishing areas; participating in training, maintaining combat readiness, and protecting and upholding national defense, security, and order in the southern sea region, becoming a solid support for fishermen venturing out to sea.

In 2015, Coast Guard vessel CSB 2004, along with the squadron (at that time), was awarded a commendation by the Coast Guard Command for its outstanding achievements in combating piracy, armed robbery, and the hijacking of the oil tanker Orkim Harmony ( Malaysia ).

For 20 years, Coast Guard vessel CSB 4 has silently served alongside the 42nd Naval Squadron - Coast Guard Region 4, day and night patrolling the southern airspace and seas.
