The "Bringing Schools to Students" program has become a bridge to knowledge, changing destinies and shaping the future for millions of students across the country.
The most impressive aspect of the "Bringing Schools to Students" program, meticulously organized and successfully implemented by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper for the past 25 years, is its focus on core elements to "reach" the dreams of students across many generations.
Shaping your mindset when choosing a career
In the early 2000s, when the internet was still a luxury and social media hadn't yet emerged, students in rural areas faced a severe lack of information about university admissions. The "Bringing Schools to Students" program appeared and immediately addressed the issue of educational equality. The program instantly changed the mindset from "students going to university" to "bringing university classrooms right to the high school campus."
Students in rural areas have access to accurate and official information, on par with students in major cities. In particular, the program helps to eliminate the mindset of choosing majors based on trends, family expectations, or simply because the name sounds impressive without truly understanding its essence.
Students are guided to compare their personal interests with their actual abilities to make rational decisions. Many realize that "university is not the only path" and proactively choose vocational training to start their careers early, in accordance with their family's economic conditions.
In later years, as the Ministry of Education and Training 's admission methods underwent more changes, the curriculum shifted significantly towards in-depth, practical, and strategic approaches. Experts helped students "decode" the admission matrix; dissecting and clearly identifying the advantages and disadvantages of each method, helping candidates "apply intelligently" to optimize their chances of admission.

Reliable sources of support
In particular, the experts on the advisory board not only discuss the curriculum but also provide in-depth analysis of career prospects: What jobs can graduates of this field get? Is there a surplus or shortage of manpower in the market? What supplementary skills determine salary levels? This frankness helps students avoid the "disillusionment" trap after graduation, aligning with the realities of the labor market. Simultaneously, they guide students on strategies for registering their preferences and arranging them logically.
What's even more impressive is that the team of experts providing advice consists of teachers who have been involved with each program. They are the heart and soul behind the brand and absolute prestige of "Bringing Schools to Students." They come from leading universities and colleges, such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, Dr. Nguyen Duc Nghia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Hoai Thang, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Dao, Dr. Tran Dinh Ly, Dr. Pham Tan Ha, Dr. Le Trung Nhan, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Mai..., and many more teachers from the very first programs to the present day that I can't list all of them during my consultations. For 25 years, regardless of the weather, they have always been willing to stay until midday just to answer the last question of a shy student!
The career guidance ecosystem needs to continue.
In every successfully organized program, each recruitment season leaves behind invaluable spiritual values for all those involved. First and foremost, for the candidates, it provides peace of mind and a guiding light.
The program not only provides students with admissions information but also gives them the key to deciding their own lives. Secondly, for high school teachers, it represents companionship and shared burden, helping schools improve their career guidance education, which is still limited in resources. Thirdly, for the experts, it is the happiness of a mentor; the joy of reuniting with outstanding students in university lecture halls – the same students who, just a few months ago, were sitting in the high schoolyard asking them questions.
And finally, we were particularly impressed by the dedication and creativity of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper's program team, who braved the sun and rain, working tirelessly from arranging each chair and setting up sunshades for the students to other crucial aspects to ensure the program's success, reach, and maximum effectiveness.
Throughout this meaningful and emotional journey, I have always felt that the greatest "legacy" of the program after 25 years is the continuity of generations. Many experts were once students who sat on the school grounds listening to advice during the years 2001-2005, and twenty years later they are sitting in the same chairs at the advice desks of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, continuing to guide their younger generations.
Over its 25-year journey, from small-scale programs with questions written on paper in schoolyards shaded by banyan trees to large-scale, live-streamed programs, from initial online sessions with the clicking of keyboards to the current era of livestreaming, TikTok, and AI-powered data retrieval, "Bringing Schools to Students" has transformed from an information channel into a vast career guidance ecosystem. This incredibly important ecosystem needs to be continued to help fulfill the dreams of many generations of students...
