32 teams are competing in the final round of the Vietnam Robot Creativity Competition

On the evening of June 8th, at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium , Vietnam Television, in collaboration with the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, held the opening ceremony of the Final Round of the Vietnam Robot Creativity Competition - Robocon 2025, themed "Basketball Warrior."

In his opening remarks, Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Robot Creativity Competition 2025, stated that the final round featured 32 teams from universities, academies, and technical colleges nationwide. These teams were all technological "warriors" who had successfully navigated the dramatic preliminary rounds.

The Vietnam Robot Creativity Competition 2025 is taking place in the context of the whole country implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

To realize that vision, developing and utilizing high-quality human resources, especially in cutting-edge fields such as robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence, is a strategic task and a key factor.

The Robocon competition is a practical environment where students gradually master core technologies, thereby contributing to building a superior workforce ready to shape the future.

The 2025 theme, "Basketball Warrior," introduces a competition rule requiring teams not only to design robots capable of fast and precise movement but also to program clever counter-strategies and flexible coordination, mimicking real sports matches.

This marks the first time the "real-time competitive" element has been emphasized, promising thrilling and unpredictable score chases.

The organizers hope that, upon emerging from the Robocon competition, the students and trainees will become outstanding engineers, making significant contributions to the development of science and technology in the country during this era of progress.

The final round will determine a new champion team of the Robocon 2025 season who will represent Vietnam at the ABU Robocon competition in Mongolia this coming August.

Immediately following the opening ceremony were exciting and dramatic matches in Group A and Group B of the final round.

The final round will continue until June 13th.
