The event was held in conjunction with the 2024 Annual Listed Companies Conference, with the participation of representatives from nearly 300 listed companies, securities firms, fund management companies, and other financial institutions in the market.

After nearly six months of voting, and after reviewing more than 500 listed companies on both exchanges, the Selection Committee chose 44 outstanding companies in three categories: Annual Report, Corporate Governance, and Sustainable Development Report, to be officially honored.

Over 300 companies attended the 2024 Listed Companies Conference.

For the Corporate Governance Report category, this is the second year that VLCA has implemented a registration process. Accordingly, 96 listed companies registered and met the eligibility criteria. The selection committee chose 30 outstanding companies to honor, including 10 financial companies and 20 non-financial companies.

The organizers added that the average score for reports judged in 2024 reached 72.16 points, a slight increase of approximately 5.19% compared to 2023. The majority of annual reports scored between 70 and 90 points. Notably, the percentage of businesses with reports scoring between 80 and 90 points increased significantly compared to last year. Therefore, although the number of annual reports submitted to the competition decreased in 2024, the overall quality level this year is more consistent.

For the financial group, with the number of reports submitted remaining relatively stable, the average score reached 74.32 points (a 2.30% increase compared to 2023), and the highest score reached 93.79 points (a 3.44% increase compared to 2023). For the non-financial group, with the number of reports decreasing, the average score reached 71.39 points (a 5.70% increase compared to 2023), and the highest score reached 93.41 points (a 2.70% increase compared to 2023).

Financial businesses focus on risk disclosure, risk management models, bad debt assessment, and efficient capital utilization. Meanwhile, non-financial businesses stand out with sustainable development initiatives such as energy saving, resource management, and material reuse.
