Located at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level, Y Tý is always shrouded in fog year-round. During the rice harvest season, Y Tý is adorned with a shimmering golden hue, stretching across the winding mountain slopes. In the early morning in Y Tý, thick white clouds envelop the mountains and forests, creating a magical scene like a heavenly paradise.

The road to Y Tý is now more convenient than before, best suited for high-clearance vehicles. Low-clearance vehicles can still travel, but it will be more difficult due to some sections under repair and gravel laying. From Hanoi, tourists can take a sleeper bus to Lao Cai and then rent a motorbike to explore , or drive themselves along the route: Hanoi - Lao Cai - Ban Vuoc - Muong Hum - Y Tý.

Ngai Thau is considered the most beautiful "golden balcony" in Y Ty, where terraced rice fields cling to the mountainside, undulating like waves of rice stretching to the horizon.
