According to the 2025 university admissions regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training has removed the requirement that each major and each training program have a maximum of 4 subject combinations for admission consideration. Instead, universities and colleges can freely determine the subject combinations for admission consideration that are suitable for their training programs, without any limit on the number.

The Ministry of Education and Training emphasizes that the subject combinations used for admission must be scientifically and practically developed, ensuring the selection of candidates with foundational knowledge and core competencies that are suitable for the training program.
