(NLĐO) - The restructuring aims to gradually improve the effectiveness of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union's activities and enhance practical care for union members and workers.


On the afternoon of March 12th, the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions announced and presented decisions on the establishment and reorganization of its affiliated units. According to the decisions, the Organization Department and the Office of the Inspection Department were merged into the Organization and Inspection Department; and the Policy and Legal Affairs Department, the Propaganda Department, and the Women's Affairs Department were merged into the Professional Affairs Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions.

The Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions announced the decision to establish the Professional Affairs Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions.

While awaiting the appointment of deputy heads, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions assigned Ms. Le Thi Kim Thuy, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions, to be in charge of the Organization and Inspection Committee; Mr. Pham Chi Tam, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions, to be in charge of the Professional Affairs Committee; Mr. Phung Thai Quang, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions, to be in charge of Finance; and Ms. Le Thi Diem Ngan, Deputy Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions Office, to be in charge of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Unions Office.

The Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor also decided to dissolve 12 grassroots-level trade unions: the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport's Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs' Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Health Sector Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Education Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Textile and Garment Union, the Union of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Tourism's grassroots units, the Union of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's grassroots units, the Ministry of Health 's grassroots units, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's grassroots units, the Union of Central Commercial Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ho Chi Minh City Public Service and Trade Enterprises' Union.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor also announced the decision to establish the Trade Union of Party Agencies in the city. Mr. Cao Van Thang, Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor's Office, was appointed as the Chairman of the Trade Union of Party Agencies in the city.

The Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor also announced the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Trade Union. Mr. Luong Tuan Anh, Chairman of the City's Civil Servants' Trade Union, was appointed as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Trade Union.

The Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor also announced the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Trade Union.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Khac Thai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor, said that the establishment and reorganization received high consensus from the Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor. From 7 departments, the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor now has 4 departments. The reorganization aims to gradually improve the effectiveness of the city's trade union activities and strengthen practical care for union members and workers. In particular, the Trade Union of Party agencies and the Trade Union of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City have a large number of grassroots trade unions and a large number of members.

"The grassroots trade unions should quickly stabilize and consolidate to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and the 2025 Workers' Month..." - Mr. Vo Khac Thai emphasized.
