Excavation team leader Stephan Seidlmayer revealed that studies show this is an ancient Egyptian tomb, a mastaba with a truncated pyramidal structure, built with mud bricks taken from the Nile River. In ancient Egyptian, mastaba means "eternal house." What makes this discovery unique is the exquisitely painted decoration, a rare feature in the Dahshour royal cemetery. The artwork in the tomb depicts scenes of everyday life such as donkeys grinding grain, boats moving on the Nile River, a bustling market, and images of servants carrying offerings to revered figures.
