Goalkeeper Alisson Becker and center-back Ibrahim Konate received a 5 rating after their disastrous performance in Liverpool's 1-3 defeat to Arsenal in the 23rd round of the Premier League on the evening of February 4th.
The Daily Mail (England) argues that Alisson made a direct mistake leading to the second, pivotal goal conceded at the Emirates Stadium. The Liverpool goalkeeper rushed out indecisively, missed the clearance, and created an opportunity for Gabriel Martinelli to shoot into an empty net, giving Arsenal a 2-1 lead.
"Alisson was not in his usual form, making mistakes that Martinelli exploited," the review stated. "Alisson still knew how to make saves against Kai Havertz and Gabriel, but lacked his usual composure."

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Konate was reportedly at fault in several of Arsenal's counter-attacks and goals. Regarding the situation where the French center-back received a second yellow card in the 88th minute, the newspaper criticized his lack of composure and his deliberate attempt to obstruct Kai Havertz as he broke through in midfield.
In Liverpool's second goal conceded, center-back Virgil Van Dijk also made a mistake. However, the Daily Mail still rated the visiting captain higher than Alisson, giving him a score of 6. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Codu Gakpo, Harvey Elliott, Thiago Alcantara, and manager Jurgen Klopp also received a score of 6, while Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Andy Robertson, and Darwin Nunez received a score of 7.
On the Arsenal side, Jorginho received the highest rating – a 9 – despite not scoring or assisting. He was praised for maintaining composure, controlling the tempo, and leading the play in a highly competitive match.

A score of 8 was given to manager Mikel Arteta, Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, the opening goal scorer Bukayo Saka, and Martinelli. The newspaper also noted that in the second goal, Martinelli had a significant impact by holding off Van Dijk to win the ball, although the "big credit" went to Alisson. The newspaper also praised the Brazilian striker for his ability to threaten the Liverpool defense.
Substitute Jakub Kiwior received a rating of 7.5. The Polish defender came on at the start of the second half replacing Oleksandr Zinchenko and immediately helped solidify Arsenal's defense. He also provided an assist for Leandro Trossard to break through and score from a tight angle to seal a 3-1 victory. The newspaper gave the rest of Arsenal's players a rating of 7, except for William Saliba, who received a 6. Gabriel's own goal led to Liverpool's equalizer, but the newspaper attributed the main fault to Saliba for his indecisive shielding.
In the match on the evening of February 4th, Arsenal started better than Liverpool. They opened the scoring in the 14th minute after a counter-attack from their own half. Havertz's shot deflected off Alisson, but Saka was in the right place at the right time to tap the rebound into the empty net.
Liverpool started poorly, but surprisingly equalized in the 45+3 minute. Luis Diaz's pressure deflected off Gabriel and into Arsenal's net.
The match was unpredictable until Arsenal unexpectedly scored their second goal in the 67th minute. After Van Dijk and Alisson misunderstood each other during a clearance, Martinelli seized the ball and shot into an empty net. Liverpool tried to salvage a point but were unsuccessful. Furthermore, they were reduced to 10 men against 11 in the 88th minute after Konate received his second yellow card. Four minutes later, Liverpool paid the price and lost 1-3. After breaking down the left wing, Trossard nutmegged Alisson.
Following this victory, Arsenal moved up to second place in the Premier League with 49 points. Liverpool still lead with 51 points, but are now only five points ahead of Man City and have played two more games.
