During those historic days of April, the humble one-story house of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Canh (Binh Chanh commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City) was filled with the joyful sounds of cadres, soldiers, and youth union members from Binh Chanh commune visiting and encouraging her. The house was proudly adorned with certificates of recognition from the Fatherland and the Resistance War Medal.

At the home of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Canh, officers, soldiers, and youth union members kindly inquired about her health and encouraged her; expressed deep gratitude for her sacrifices and losses; and paid tribute to the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland.

Officers, soldiers, and youth union members organized a ceremony to offer incense in tribute to the heroic martyrs; presented gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Canh; cleaned the house, went to the market, cooked a meal, and ate with her family.
After the work was done, the members gathered around their mother's warm dinner table; they sang traditional songs and songs about their homeland to their mother and listened to her stories of the hard times during the resistance war.
Listening to their mother's stories, everyone was deeply moved. The young people held their mothers' hands tightly, gathering around them. The meal took place in a warm, affectionate atmosphere, filled with a range of emotions, leaving a profound impression on each young person.

Mother Nguyen Thi Canh said emotionally, "I thank you all for coming to me, helping me clean the house, cooking meals, and eating with me. I am very happy and touched…"

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Binh Chanh District Military Command, said that during the resistance war, the army and people of Binh Chanh achieved many resounding victories.
The heartfelt meal at the home of a Vietnamese Heroic Mother holds great significance, expressing gratitude to the heroic martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, practically educating the younger generation about traditions, and further motivating each officer, soldier, union member, and youth to strive and excel in their duties, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.

It is understood that the funding for these activities mainly comes from voluntary contributions from officers, soldiers, and youth union members of various units and localities, as well as funds extracted from the production activities of officers and soldiers in those units.
