The song is a story by Tung Tran - leader of Microwave, written about his own 20-year dream. He said: " The 20-year dream is a dream from the 20s, from the most beautiful moment of his life. And 20 years later, when looking back, that dream is still just a dream. This life is sometimes like a dream, the better you live in the present, the more beautiful your dream is, and you always live in the most beautiful dream. That is the 20-year dream and I think everyone has their own 20-year dream".

Although the spirit is simple, the MV also "makes it difficult" for the members.

And in terms of music, according to Microwave, Dream 20 is completely different from what the band did in previous albums. The recording is simple, with only drums, guitar, bass and vocals, without using any electronic effects/techniques, to bring a rustic and emotional sound. However, as the band shared, things that seem simple are often not simple behind them. For example, to choose a satisfactory guitar sound, the band had to experiment with more than 20 different guitars.

A memorable experience for the band and crew was the underwater filming. Before the filming day, the band members underwent training, breathing and diving exercises with a professional coach, to learn how to hold their breath and act underwater.

Dream 20 was directed by Tran Trung Linh - a friend of Microwave and also a director/artist who has appeared in many Vietnamese films. Following the simple spirit of the way the audio version of Dream 20 was made, the MV was also made by the band and director as simple as possible (shown in the costumes or filming set with only lights and camera shots...)

The simplicity and intimacy of the MV is also shown through the emotional leader of the MV - dancer Le Hoang Nga My. She is the perfect piece for the MV because of her contrast - femininity, softness, and purity placed next to the strength, roughness, and bumpiness of real rockers.

However, watching the MV, you will see that it is not simple in terms of emotions, because the MV does not serve a specific story, but it is a series of emotions. Director Tran Trung Linh said that he used metaphorical images from thin layers of smoke, nylon and water to exploit many layers of emotions, the inner turmoil, the drowning, the confusion, the mixed sadness and joy of Dream 20.
