On June 2, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held the International Conference and Exhibition on Cybersecurity (Vietnam Security Summit 6), one of the largest annual events on information security (ATTT) in Vietnam.

With the theme "Data safety: Protecting national digital resources", Vietnam Security Summit 2023 is a prestigious forum to help policymakers, leading experts, technology solution providers... meet and discuss new trends in the field of information security, and propose strategies and solutions to prevent and respond to current risks in cyberspace.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc said that the city is trying to focus on accelerating the process of implementing digital transformation and building a smart city. Including the formation of shared data warehouses, issues related to integration, sharing, and data mining. In addition, the challenges of ensuring safety and information security are extremely important and essential that the city is paying great attention to and focusing on solving.

“I believe that this conference and exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City will create a meaningful forum for us to learn, exchange ideas and build cooperative relationships. We need to focus on raising awareness, training on cybersecurity, promoting research and development of new technologies, and strengthening domestic and international cooperation to deal with increasingly sophisticated threats,” said Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc.
At the event, Major General Nguyen Van Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security) generalized the trends of cybercriminals stealing data in recent years such as: attacks and distribution of malicious code to appropriate, steal, encrypt data, extort money from users' devices and electronic means; attack through the enterprise's supply chain (through its suppliers and partners); attack administrative server systems, data servers using cloud computing platforms (Cloud)...

Under the chairmanship of Mr. Le Cong Phu, Deputy Director of Vietnam Cyber Emergency Response Center (VNCERT/CC) - Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications), there were discussions on a number of current outstanding issues such as: Data protection of key digital platforms such as digital platforms used nationally or locally; current data breach causes and trends; effectively control the use of customer data in the context of third-party vendors and partners having access to the data; measures and technologies to support timely recognition and effective response to cases of data leakage, breach of data security, etc.

On this occasion, the Department of Information Security also launched the Digital Investigation Support Platform. Through this platform, incident response teams of network members can receive, report, share information about incidents and organize network incident handling. Especially on this platform, data and knowledge related to network attack campaigns, security holes, malicious codes... are also shared to all network members quickly and synchronously, helping to timely update security holes and network attack campaigns to monitor and proactively respond.
Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) said: In the digital era, every business will do data business with the amount of data generated in 2023 is about 60 times higher than 2010. Digital data will be a gold mine for countries, organizations and businesses to exploit and take advantage of to catch the trend and legally get ahead. Therefore, protecting data safety and personal information safety is protecting the extremely valuable resources of each country, organization and enterprise.
