(Fatherland) - On the evening of August 25, at the Hanoi Opera House, Communist Magazine, Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Hanoi Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee to organize the art exchange program "Independence Star" 2024 to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 79th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day.

Attending the program were Party Central Committee members: Tran Luu Quang, Head of the Central Economic Commission, Deputy Prime Minister; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Luong Quoc Doan, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association ; Ha Thi Nga, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Pham Tat Thang, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.

The program was also honored to have the presence of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, veteran revolutionaries, People's Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, meritorious people and martyrs' relatives from Hanoi City and the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang,...

The Organizing Committee presented gifts and flowers to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; veteran revolutionaries, wounded and sick soldiers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and labor heroes of the renovation period.

Held annually since 2016, the art program "Independence Star" with unique artistic content, depicts the noble cultural and historical values ​​of patriotism and indomitable will of many generations of heroic Vietnamese people in the struggle, construction and defense of the Fatherland under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam.

The highlight of the opening speech was the excerpts from 236 articles written by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in the Communist Magazine and spread throughout the country. The words from the humane heart and thoughts of the sage passed on the aspiration for independence, freedom, and eternal happiness to the people and the country of Vietnam.

Chapter 1 is an artistic image recreating the atmosphere of the August Revolution days in Hanoi and the sacred moment when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at the historic Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945.

The program recalled the heroic memories of the nation, the glorious pages of history written with blood and bones, with the sacrifices of our entire Party, army and people, represented by the shining examples of revolutionary veterans, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces on all fronts.

Chapter 2 recreates the decisions that made the history of the nation and the great will and determination of our military, security forces, and people to achieve great feats...

Chapter 3 shows gratitude to those who sacrificed their blood for the Fatherland, gratitude activities across the country and deep belief that today's generation will firmly protect the revolutionary achievements that our ancestors worked so hard to create.

In particular, the Organizing Committee devoted a part of the program to the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with the most sacred sentiments and deepest emotions. The epic poem: "Uncle Ho's words - The words of the country" resounded, making everyone present moved.

Entering the final chapter with the theme My Vietnam has never been so beautiful, the songs Ba Dinh Nang, Chung Con Quan Nguoc Tay Cho Nguoi, La Co, Giai Melo Vo Hong, Tuoi Xuan Dian Dang, Mot Vong Viet Nam, La Co Dang... created a joyful atmosphere, full of faith in the future of the country.

The political art program “Independence Star” brought the audience heroic and touching moments, with pride, gratitude, faith and aspiration to rise up and join hands to build the country.
