The Stars is the theme song of an upcoming game show called Anh trai say hi. Among the 30 artists participating in the MV The Stars , the focus is on many notable names of Vietnamese music such as Hieuthuhai, Duc Phuc, Erik, Isaac.

JustaTee plays the role of music producer for The Stars . The song is nearly 5 minutes long but is still too short for JustaTee to “divide the land” for all 30 artists. Instead, only a few names such as Isaac, Duc Phuc, Erik, rapper Tage, Hurrykng, Wean Le and Hieuthuhai contribute their voices.

Chaotic

The distinct personalities, mixed between singing and rapping, cannot be reconciled in the product The Stars . Regular audiences also pointed this out, when the song's production team showed great ambition but the reality was chaotic.

Isaac was the first to sing in The Stars . The former 365 member's voice was strange and rough because it was mixed completely differently from his other music products. After Isaac, Duc Phuc followed, then Erik, the melody was more graceful and catchy to lead to the song's highlight hook.

In the next part, JustaTee arranged the rappers. Tage, Wean Le, Phap Kieu, Hurrykng, Negav and Hieuthuhai performed short rap verses with arrogant and individual content. However, the problem with rap is that each rapper has his own flow (rap rhythm) and different way of conveying, so if the rap verses are placed next to each other without a connecting point, everything becomes confusing.

Looking at the song as a whole, the rap part doesn't really match the vocals of the singers in the opening part. The most unique point of the song The Stars is JustaTee's voice, when the show's Music Director participated in the hook segment.

A year ago, JustaTee was behind the production of the song We Go Hard for Rap Viet season 3. The theme song of Rap Viet season 3 also brought together a series of artists, including Suboi, Thai VG, B Ray, Karik, BigDaddy, Andree and JustaTee. However, We Go Hard is a playground for rap, which is truly a cypher. Meanwhile, in The Stars , JustaTee could not solve the problem of how to balance the lineup with half being singers and the rest being rappers.

From Rap Viet to Anh Trai Say Hi , JustaTee's role is still Music Director, but the challenge in this show is completely different. The negative reaction from the audience towards The Stars is a challenging start for the person "steering" the music section of the show.

At this point, JustaTee and his colleagues still have to solve many problems when assembling many pieces to form a complete whole.

Eye catching images

Phuong Vu of Antiantiart takes on the role of creator and director of the MV The Stars . After the success with Bich Phuong and a series of other products, Phuong Vu has taken a rapid step forward to become the most sought-after MV director in 2024. Phuong Vu's strengths - creative madness, street style, hip hop - are all shown in the MV The Stars .

The production team created a series of magnificent scenes for the MV The Stars . Among them, the set capturing all 30 brothers, Tage sitting in a mysterious room, was the most impressive. The MV was filmed entirely in the studio, half of which was real and the rest was processed in post-production. The color and special effects elements of the MV The Stars are of high quality. The only downside is that the scene transitions are too fast.

Similar to the music, the visuals in the MV The Stars also limit the artists appearing. Singers and rappers who contribute their voices are given priority to appear more. Meanwhile, the remaining notable artists of the show such as Quang Hung, Anh Tu (actor), Song Luan, Quang Anh... are only shown for a few seconds.

After 2 days of release, MV The Stars attracted more than 300,000 views. The presence of “30 brothers” in the MV, in theory promises to be explosive but the actual attraction is not too great. The visual part of The Stars may be impressive, but if the music does not convince the audience, it will be difficult to really be a hit on the music trending list.

The game show Anh trai say hi aired at the same time as Anh trai vu ngan cong gai . Compared to its competitors, Anh trai say hi had a better start, as the artists participating in the show were mostly popular on social networks. Investing in producing a grand MV and releasing it early also helped Anh trai say hi create a buzz compared to its direct competitors.

However, whether Anh Trai Say Hi wins depends on how the show exploits the 30 artists. Those 30 names, individually may be hot, but together, whether they can help each other rise is a question mark. At least, with the MV The Stars, the show's crew showed the audience that everything is still chaotic.
