Arsenal drop 17 players from the squad.

Following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Premier League season, Arsenal announced the official list of players who will be retained and those who will be leaving the club.

According to the announcement, a total of 17 players from the men's, women's, and academy teams will leave the Emirates Stadium, marking a major squad overhaul by manager Mikel Arteta.

Among the most notable departures is midfielder Jorginho. The Italian star, who won the Champions League with Chelsea and joined Arsenal in January 2023, will move to Flamengo on a free transfer after his contract expires.

Despite his significant contributions in terms of experience and stability in midfield, Jorginho is no longer part of Arteta's long-term plans.

Another player set to leave Arsenal is full-back Kieran Tierney. The Scottish player spent much of last season on loan at Real Sociedad and has now agreed to join an unannounced new club. Despite high expectations, Tierney's career has failed to reach its peak due to recurring injuries.
