Arsenal scored two goals in injury time of the second half to beat Man Utd 3-1 in the big match of the fourth round of the Premier League.
From a corner kick on the right, Rice received the ball at the far post unmarked, with the visiting team's players unable to close him down. The $132 million midfielder volleyed the ball into the near post, beating goalkeeper Andre Onana and putting the home side 2-1 up. In the final minute, striker Gabriel Jesus completed Arsenal's quick counter-attack, dribbling past Diogo Dalot before slotting the ball into the far corner to seal a 3-1 victory.

Before scoring two goals, Arsenal seemed destined for a defeat when Alejandro Garnacho scored in the 89th minute to give Man Utd a 2-1 lead. However, the goal was disallowed by VAR, which confirmed Garnacho was offside by a small margin. The Emirates Stadium crowd cheered the referee's decision as if their team had scored. And their fervor seemed to fuel the Gunners' comeback victory.
The events in the last 10 minutes were far more exciting than the previous 80 minutes, when both teams played cautiously. The first half only had three notable moments, the first being Kai Havertz's missed shot in the 13th minute from less than 10 meters.
The German midfielder has yet to impress since joining Arsenal, and it was his misplaced pass that led to the visitors' opening goal. Christian Eriksen intercepted the ball and surged forward through the middle before threading a pass to Marcus Rashford on the left. The English striker cut inside and fired a shot into the far corner, a move that goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale managed to get a hand on but couldn't save.
However, Arsenal responded just a minute later with a superb one-two pass between Zinchenko, Martinelli, and Nketiah, showcasing the team's signature style. Finally, Martinelli passed the ball to captain Martin Odegaard, who fired a diagonal shot to equalize 1-1 for the home side.

Both teams continued to play tightly in the second half, but failed to capitalize on their chances. First, Rashford's rebound shot into an almost empty net was blocked by a home defender. Then, Saka missed a close-range tap-in opportunity when his shot went straight to goalkeeper Onana.
VAR also dashed Arsenal's hopes once during the match, when referee Anthony Taylor awarded them a penalty after Havertz collided with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and fell inside the penalty area. However, after reviewing the incident, the referee reversed his decision and canceled the penalty.
Match statistics show that Arsenal performed better in key areas, particularly with 12 corners, four times as many as their opponents. Rice's goal also came from one such situation.
Meanwhile, Man Utd continued to display a lackluster performance, with the only bright spot being new signing Rasmus Hojlund. The 20-year-old striker only played the last 30 minutes but impressed with his attacking prowess, although he didn't have a chance to make an impact.
