DTO - Ms. Tran Thi My (born in 1953) residing in Phu Nong hamlet, Phu Hiep commune, Tam Nong district is currently in critical condition due to multiple serious illnesses and is earnestly seeking assistance from philanthropists.

Ms. My is recuperating at home.

Ms. Vo Thi Trinh (Ms. My's youngest daughter) said: "My mother suffers from hypertension, blockage and narrowing of the middle cerebral artery; cerebral infarction; atrial fibrillation and flutter; heart failure; atrial septal defect... The doctor said she needs persistent treatment, otherwise it will affect her life. Our family is poor, so we can't afford to continue treatment for my mother. To this day, her body is ravaged by the disease, causing pain, her legs are atrophied and she can't walk, she eats very little, and she needs help with personal activities."

Mrs. My's family is currently very poor. She and her husband are elderly and live with their youngest daughter, Ms. Trinh's family, in a charity house built in 2018 as part of a support program for disadvantaged militia members. When they were healthy, Mrs. My and her husband sold lottery tickets. Since Mrs. My fell ill, her husband and daughter have had to stay home to care for her and their granddaughter, who also suffers from a congenital disease and is unable to walk. Ms. Trinh's husband, who works as a village militia member (in Phu Nong village), also has to work odd jobs daily to help support his family and care for his sick mother-in-law.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Chairman of the Phu Hiep Commune Red Cross Society, said that Ms. My's family is in very difficult circumstances. Mr. Le Phuong Thao, Vice Chairman of the Tam Nong District Red Cross Society, recently visited her home to present her with a wheelchair and some financial assistance. Over the past period, the commune's Red Cross Society and neighbors have also provided money and rice to help the family survive. We sincerely hope that benefactors will continue to help Ms. Tran Thi My receive treatment and overcome this serious illness.

For any assistance, please contact Ms. Vo Thi Trinh at phone number: 0349579107 or the Dong Thap Newspaper bank account: 117000177712 at Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade ( VietinBank ) - Dong Thap Branch (Please specify in the transfer details: support for Ms. Tran Thi My).
