Bac Giang presents a special feature on "Leadership in the Era of Artificial Intelligence."

On the morning of March 24th, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province held an information conference for key leaders of units within the Party Committee, focusing on leadership in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Attendees at the conference listened to Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of theFPT University Council, present a lecture on leadership in the era of artificial intelligence.

Sharing his views on the role of AI, Mr. Tien stated that AI has a significant impact on employment globally, and those who know how to use it will be the winners. The generation that masters AI will become leaders in this technological era.

Currently, AI is putting pressure on governments, creating a "new playing field" in employment policies; driving innovation in public administration models and public services; and posing challenges for governments in poorer countries. Therefore, leaders need to change their mindset, master science and technology, and assert their role.

The role of leadership in the new era is not just about deploying AI solutions, but also about building a resilient, adaptable, and progressive organizational culture. Leaders must develop new skills and intelligence to navigate a complex and ever-changing world .

Also at the conference, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien shared his experience and strategic direction in applying AI, from changing perceptions to in-depth applications, bringing value to the government and society. This included building a provincial-level data model, managing data on population, businesses, land, housing, resources, health, education, and telecommunications. Data on human factors, infrastructure, and basic services such as healthcare, education, banking, insurance, and transportation were also discussed. He also outlined some general issues and proposed a project on transforming mindsets and applying AI – first through training – to implement Bac Giang province's strategic direction.

The organization of this thematic information conference aims to implement Plan No. 166-KH/TU, dated February 7, 2025, of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the dissemination, promotion, and implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh thanked Mr. Hoang Nam Tien for his important and useful exchanges and sharing on issues related to the era of artificial intelligence application. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that to achieve development and breakthroughs, nothing is more important than strengthening the application of science and technology. Therefore, all levels and sectors must pay special attention to and effectively implement Resolution No. 57.

Immediately after the conference, each official and leader fully and deeply understood the role and importance of science and technology in all aspects of social life. They continued to research and study, and promptly focused on deploying artificial intelligence applications to support task execution and work processes.
