Bac Ninh invests in the construction of an overpass on the Hanoi - Lang Son expressway.

BAC NINH - The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued Decision No. 751/QD-UBND on the investment policy for the project to build an overpass over the Hanoi - Lang Son expressway (Km127+500) and a road connecting Quang Chau Industrial Park with provincial road 298B.

The project is being implemented to gradually complete and develop urban infrastructure in accordance with the plan; enhance connectivity between key transportation routes in the area, contributing to traffic flow management and reducing traffic congestion in major industrial zones such as Van Trung Industrial Zone, Quang Chau Industrial Zone, and Viet Han Industrial Zone.

Simultaneously, it creates incentives to attract investment, promotes socio -economic development, and contributes to strengthening the development link between national defense and the economy, and the economy and national defense; ensuring infrastructure conditions that meet the requirements of security, safety, and social order in the region.

According to the Decision, the project has a total construction length of approximately 5.08 km, including the main route and branch routes. The main route, extending from the intersection of the northern ring road and the Quang Chau Industrial Park's main road to Provincial Road 298B, is expected to be approximately 4.21 km long and is located within the Nenh and Van Ha wards. The route is planned according to the standards of a major urban street, with a cross-section of 34-37m depending on the section.

In addition, the project also includes the construction of an overpass over the Hanoi- Lang Son railway and Provincial Road 295B, with an estimated length of approximately 358m and a bridge width of 25.5m.

The branch line, approximately 0.87 km long, is located in Nenh Ward and is planned to be constructed according to urban planning cross-section standards with a roadbed width of 26m, a road surface width of 14m, and a sidewalk width of 12m.

In addition to bridges and roads, the project will invest in a comprehensive system of longitudinal and transverse drainage, lighting, traffic safety, technical tunnels, and other related technical infrastructure works in accordance with the approved plan.

This project belongs to group B, with a total investment of VND 2,093.766 billion from the provincial budget. The investment preparation period is in 2026, and implementation is expected to take place from 2026 to 2029.
