Nha Trang beach flooded with rubbish due to floods
Historic floods have left Nha Trang beach (Khanh Hoa province) flooded with trash, from tree trunks, dry coconuts to plastic bottles and household items.

Going to Nha Trang beach every day, Ms. Le Thuy Ha (65 years old, resident of Nam Nha Trang ward), said that the situation of garbage washing up on the beach happens every year, especially after heavy rains and floods. It makes the beach messy, even though environmental workers are mobilized to clean up from morning to night, they still can't keep up. According to Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, workers have been trying to collect garbage for many days. However, the prolonged heavy rain has caused the garbage that was just cleared to continue to accumulate, causing many difficulties. This unit is increasing human resources and equipment on duty, not letting garbage accumulate, causing environmental pollution and affecting the urban landscape.
In recent days, Khanh Hoa province has suffered historic floods and heavy rains over a large area. Currently, 54 communes and wards with 162 locations are flooded; many areas such as West Nha Trang, South Nha Trang, Dien Khanh, Dien Dien... are flooded up to the roof, requiring urgent evacuation.
According to Khanh Hoa Hydrometeorological Station, during the day and night of November 21, the province will continue to have moderate to heavy rain; in the North, there will be very heavy rain with rainfall of 50-80mm, along the coast over 120mm. In the South, there will be 30-50mm, in some places over 70mm. The water level of the Dinh River basin in low-lying areas may exceed 3m; Cai Nha Trang River 1-1.5m, in low-lying areas over 2m; Cai Phan Rang River 0.5-1m, in low-lying areas over 1.5m.
