Every day at Nha Trang beach, Ms. Le Thuy Ha (65 years old, residing in Nam Nha Trang ward) said that the problem of garbage washing ashore occurs annually, especially after heavy rains and floods. It makes the beach unsightly, and even though environmental workers are mobilized to clean from morning till night, it's still not enough.

According to Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, workers have been diligently collecting garbage for several days. However, prolonged heavy rain has caused garbage to accumulate again after it was just cleared, creating many difficulties. The company is increasing manpower and equipment to ensure that garbage does not accumulate, causing environmental pollution and affecting the urban landscape.

In recent days, Khanh Hoa province has suffered a historic flood with heavy rainfall across a wide area. Currently, 54 communes and wards with 162 flooded areas are affected; many areas such as West Nha Trang, South Nha Trang, Dien Khanh, Dien Dien… are flooded up to the rooftops, requiring urgent evacuation.

According to the Khanh Hoa Meteorological and Hydrological Station, on November 21st, both day and night, the province will continue to experience moderate to heavy rain; in the North, some areas will have very heavy rain with rainfall amounts of 50-80mm, and over 120mm along the coast. In the South, rainfall will be 30-50mm, with some areas exceeding 70mm. Water levels in the Dinh River basin may exceed 3m in low-lying areas; the Cai Nha Trang River 1-1.5m, with low-lying areas exceeding 2m; and the Cai Phan Rang River 0.5-1m, with low-lying areas exceeding 1.5m.
