With its epic structure, the program recreates the heroic chapters of history associated with the Gianh River (also known as Linh Giang), a river that held a strategic position during many historical periods. From the Trinh-Nguyen conflict to the resistance against the French and Americans, this place was once a "battleground," associated with the Gianh ferry, Gianh port, and the legendary nameless ships .

Through the language of art, the program vividly portrays the sacrifices and contributions of the armed forces and the people, while honoring the victories at Gianh Ferry Terminal - Gianh Port during the period 1964-1973. This affirms the special role of this vital transportation route in the resistance war, as well as the historical and cultural value of a "red address" along the Linh Giang River.

The Gianh River, approximately 160 km long, originates in the Truong Son mountain range and flows through much of the former Quang Binh province (now Quang Tri province). It once served as the dividing line between Dang Trong and Dang Ngoai, a fierce battlefront during the war. Today, the Gianh River connects its two banks with modern infrastructure. The Victory Monument, Gianh Bridge, Gianh Port… have become symbols of the rebirth and development of a land once ravaged by bombs and bullets.

In 2026, the Gianh Ferry Terminal National Special Monument will receive investment and restoration through social mobilization. The monument's space will be expanded to nearly 3 hectares, harmoniously combining preservation with the construction of new facilities such as an exhibition hall, temple, and ceremonial house.

Notably, the temple comprises three sections, with the main section honoring ancestors and heroic martyrs from various periods. The grounds are covered with many ancient trees, creating a solemn landscape. A new wooden model of the first unmarked ship has also been erected, measuring 13.5 meters long, 3.6 meters wide, and with a carrying capacity of 20 tons, contributing to reviving the memory of the legendary sea transport route.

After restoration, the Ferry Terminal 2 area is not only a place of remembrance but also a memorial park combining spiritual tourism, contributing to spreading historical values and arousing national pride in the land along the Linh Giang River.
