Streamlining the administrative apparatus is a regular and systematic task to meet the development needs of the country in each specific historical period. Along with the reorganization and consolidation of many ministries, departments, and central and local agencies, the reorganization and consolidation of political and social organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is in line with the Party's leadership mechanism. This is a historic decision for a new era of the nation.
Speaking to the press, Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior and President of the Vietnam Association of Administrative Sciences, stated that, legally, Article 1 of the 2015 Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front stipulates that "The Vietnam Fatherland Front is a political alliance, a voluntary union of political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, and prominent individuals from various social classes, strata, ethnic groups, religions, and Vietnamese people residing abroad." Over the past three years, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front has achieved many positive results in monitoring officials, Party members, and the activities of government at all levels. This has significantly contributed to building a clean and strong government, improving the effectiveness of state management, and enhancing the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
