The agency emphasized that this is a special move typically used only to target dangerous terrorists or rocket-launching elements in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Palestinian security sources reported that an Israeli military drone carried out an airstrike on a car near the village of Al-Jalama, north of Jenin. All three Palestinians in the car were killed.
The incident occurred amid escalating violence in the West Bank in recent days. According to Xinhua, at least 13 Palestinians and 4 Israelis have been killed since the beginning of the week.
