Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of the Provincial Forest Protection Department, Dao Duy Tuan, affirmed: The snub-nosed monkey is an endemic, critically endangered, and rare primate species, with only about 160 individuals remaining in the Khau Ca forest, part of Du Gia National Park – Dong Van Karst Plateau. Over the years, the Provincial Forest Protection Department has collaborated with international organizations to implement numerous conservation programs, monitor biodiversity, install camera traps and sound recording systems, and provide livelihood support to local communities to protect the monkey from extinction.

Within the framework of the festival, many vibrant cultural, sporting , and folk game activities were organized, such as puppet shows, art competitions, "Healthy People" contests, and activities aimed at raising community awareness about forest protection, the protection of snub-nosed monkeys, and the natural environment. These activities cleverly integrated ethnic cultural identity with messages of nature conservation, creating a joyful atmosphere and fostering community cohesion.

The ceremony aimed to raise awareness among the community about forest protection and the conservation of the snub-nosed monkey; and to reaffirm the commitment to jointly preserve biodiversity and contribute to protecting the "treasures of the green forest" of Tuyen Quang province.
