Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Provincial Forest Protection Department Dao Duy Tuan affirmed: Tonkin snub-nosed monkey is an endemic primate species, extremely endangered and rare, with only about 160 individuals living in Khau Ca forest, belonging to Du Gia National Park - Dong Van Stone Plateau. In recent years, the Provincial Forest Protection Department has coordinated with international organizations to implement many conservation programs, monitor biodiversity, install camera trap systems, record sounds and support livelihoods for local communities to protect the Tonkin langur from the risk of extinction.
