Barca suffered a crushing 0-4 defeat against Atletico Madrid.

On the morning of February 13th (Vietnam time), Atletico Madrid defeated Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg of the 2025/26 Spanish King's Cup semi-final, thus creating a significant advantage before the second leg.

Entering the match at home with high determination, Atletico Madrid proactively pushed their formation forward and quickly put pressure on Barcelona's half. In the 7th minute, a mistake by goalkeeper Joan Garcia in handling the ball after a back pass from Eric Garcia allowed the home team to open the scoring.

Having scored an early goal, Atletico Madrid played more proactively and effectively, constantly exploiting the spaces behind Barcelona's high defensive line. In the 14th minute, Antoine Griezmann doubled the lead after a quick combination play by the home team's attack.

Atletico Madrid continued to dominate the game. In the 33rd minute, Julian Alvarez assisted new signing Ademola Lookman, who finished accurately to make it 3-0. Before the first half ended, Lookman further impressed with a pass that allowed Alvarez to score the fourth goal for the home team in injury time.

In the second half, Barcelona tried to push forward in an attempt to reduce the deficit. In the 52nd minute, the ball went into the Atletico Madrid net after a shot by Cubarsi, but VAR determined that Lewandowski was offside beforehand, so the goal was disallowed.

The visitors' difficulties piled up when Eric Garcia received a red card in the 85th minute, leaving Barcelona to play with ten men for the final minutes.

In the end, Atletico Madrid secured a convincing 4-0 victory, giving them a significant advantage going into the second leg of the semi-final, scheduled to take place at Camp Nou on March 4th.
