Tan Cuong is one of the largest tea-growing areas in Thai Nguyen province. Currently, the commune has over 657 hectares of tea plantations, 12 craft villages, 31 cooperatives, and more than 22 OCOP products ranging from 3 to 5 stars. By the end of May 2026, the commune's fresh tea leaf production is expected to reach approximately 6,100 tons. The commune aims to expand its tea cultivation area to 1,000 hectares by 2030.
A renowned tea production cooperative in Tan Cuong applies technology to produce clean tea according to VietGAP standards, with many products achieving OCOP (One Commune One Product) ratings from 3 to 5 stars, available in most provinces and cities nationwide and in many countries around the world .
The cooperative offers hundreds of tea products, each with its own price and story. For example, even within the same variety of "Dinh" tea, some products cost only a few hundred thousand dong per kilogram, while others can fetch up to 30 million dong per kilogram (the highest price offered by the cooperative). This difference is due to variations in the time and timing of tea harvesting. Customers can simply scan the QR code to access complete product information.
