This case was launched when the Can Tho City Police Department's investigation agency expanded the investigation of the case "Receiving bribes" related to the accused Chau Ngoc Y, Director of the Center for Motor Vehicle Registration 6502D, 6504D, 6506D.
According to the investigation, defendant Nhut and Tam knew that Chau Ngoc Y received money from vehicle owners to legalize records for renovating motor vehicles of all kinds for vehicles that do not have enough technical documents as prescribed.
Both defendants Nhut and Tam signed the minutes of acceptance of technical safety, quality and environmental protection of reconditioned motor vehicles that did not comply with the procedures and regulations, in order to have enough procedures for Chau Nhu Y to sign and issue a certificate. quality, technical safety and environmental protection of motor vehicles improperly renovated.
During the investigation, the police determined that the accused Chau Ngoc Y had illegally benefited from 1.328 vehicles, with about 700 million VND.
