After a goalless first half, Freiburg unexpectedly accelerated at the start of the second half. In the 46th minute, Johann Manzambi opened the scoring for the home team. The advantage was further strengthened in the 71st minute when Lucas Höler successfully converted a shot, putting Freiburg 2-0 ahead and completely dominating the game.
Cornered, Bayern Munich began to react. In the 81st minute, Tom Bischoff pulled one back, giving the visitors hope. The pressure continued, and in the 90+2 minute, Bischoff scored again, leveling the score at 2-2 and bringing Bayern back into the game.
