Bayern Munich believes in a comeback.

The 4-5 defeat in Paris last week means Bayern Munich must score early and dominate the game when they face PSG again on the morning of April 7th.

The Champions League semi-final second leg between Bayern Munich and PSG promises to be another "football feast" after the thrilling nine-goal chase in the first leg (2 AM, April 7th).

The power of the stands

Returning to Allianz Arena, the German team had every reason to believe in a comeback, especially since they needed to win to secure a place in the final.

Coach Vincent Kompany made no secret of his attacking intentions, declaring that Bayern would "do more" in the second leg, while also placing great faith in the power of the home crowd with the support of over 75,000 fans. The Belgian coach asserted that this is not just a home advantage, but a factor that can make a difference in high-stakes matches.

In fact, Bayern possesses one of the most formidable attacking lineups in Europe. The trio of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Diaz have consistently been explosive, contributing significantly to the Bavarian team breaking Bundesliga scoring records this season. Kane alone has scored 13 goals in the Champions League, demonstrating the English striker's ability to decide matches at crucial moments.

Another strength of Bayern is their impressive home record. They have scored 85 goals at the Allianz Arena since the start of the season, including 20 in the Champions League.

The German team's problem lies in their defense. Conceding five goals in the first leg is a clear warning, especially when they have to push forward in search of a goal. Even a small mistake could cost Bayern dearly against PSG's ability to switch tactics and launch extremely quick counter-attacks.

Possessing sharpness

On the opposite side of the pitch, coach Luis Enrique admitted that his team could hardly play passively defensively and instead PSG would continue to focus on scoring goals, perhaps even needing 2-3 more goals to secure their place in the next round.

The French team had prepared thoroughly by resting many key players in Ligue 1 last weekend. Players like Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Vitinha are all in top physical condition. These are the key players who repeatedly troubled Bayern's defense in the first leg.

However, PSG also revealed weaknesses when they lost control of the game towards the end of the first leg, coupled with the exhaustion from constantly having to accelerate. Leading 5-2 but still allowing Bayern to narrow the score to 4-5, it shows that PSG is not truly secure when under constant pressure. Playing away from home, under pressure from the German crowd, will be an even greater challenge.

The match's dynamics are therefore highly unpredictable. Bayern Munich will almost certainly push forward from the start, while PSG will be ready to respond with fast-paced counter-attacks. With both teams pursuing an attacking style of play, the likelihood of another high-scoring match is very high.

The one-goal difference keeps things evenly balanced. Bayern have the home advantage and morale, while PSG possess sharpness in transitional plays.

Commenting on the rematch, Harry Kane said: "The team that is more clinical with their chances will reach the final."
