Closing ceremony of the Marxist Science Olympiad

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of November 29, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held the Closing Ceremony of the 10th Olympic Competition on Marxist-Leninist Science, Ho Chi Minh Thought and Political-Social Awareness in Military Schools in 2024. Colonel Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics) attended and delivered the closing speech.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrade Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association; leaders and commanders of a number of agencies, units, academies and schools inside and outside the Army.

The 10th Olympic Competition on Marxist-Leninist Science, Ho Chi Minh Thought and Political-Social Awareness in Military Schools in 2024 has the participation of 18 teams with 108 contestants selected from 7 academies, 10 officer schools, and 1 university in the Army. The competition was organized closely, thoughtfully, and seriously; promoting collective intelligence, creativity, and coordination and collaboration between agencies and units throughout the preparation and implementation of the competition. The contestants are all students with outstanding achievements, making great efforts in reviewing knowledge and choosing appropriate answering methods for each question. Through 6 rounds of competition (including: assessing the team members' abilities, self-introduction, answering mandatory essay questions, answering multiple choice questions, eloquence test and crossword puzzle), the teams demonstrated good theoretical awareness, political and social understanding, with comprehensive theoretical knowledge, depth, content and reasonable structure. Typical are some teams from schools such as: Logistics Academy, Military Science Academy, Army Officer School 1, Military Medical Academy, Border Guard Academy...

Colonel Tong Van Thanh delivered the closing speech of the contest.

In his closing speech, Colonel Tong Van Thanh commended and highly appreciated the efforts, attempts, and achievements of the competing teams; at the same time, he requested the Party Committees, commanders, political agencies, academies, and schools to direct the building of a team of lecturers and teachers of social sciences and humanities in military academies and schools in both quantity and quality; regularly take care of building a strong Party organization, a team of cadres in charge of teaching departments, subject groups, andeducational management staff in all aspects. Promote the positivity and creativity of pedagogical forces in innovating, improving the quality and effectiveness of social sciences and humanities education to meet the development of the country and the Army.

Colonel Tong Van Thanh also requested the students to actively study, practice and work, promote the movement of studying Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought and creatively apply it to all areas of work, ensuring that upon graduation they will become excellent cadres, officers and professional staff in the Army, with solid political will, sharp theoretical thinking and practical organization capacity; contribute to building exemplary clean and strong Party organizations; comprehensively strong units that are "exemplary and typical", successfully completing all assigned tasks.

Colonel Tong Van Thanh awarded prizes to the teams that won first, second and third prizes at the competition.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements at the contest.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the decision and awarded the teams with outstanding achievements in the competition, including: Logistics Academy won the first prize; Army Officer School 1 and Military Science Academy won the second prize; Army Officer School 2, Military Medical Academy and Border Guard Academy won the third prize. The Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 teams that won the Encouragement Prize; 06 individuals who completed the speech competition excellently; 02 groups and 05 individuals who completed the task of organizing and ensuring service for the competition.
