Each year I get to read more new books, learn many lessons and gain experience to prepare for the competition... I am very happy that the judges saw my efforts and recognized them."
Always considering books as her companions, Chau Anh reads a wide variety of genres, from children's stories to literature, psychology, and political commentary… She reads passionately, whenever she has free time. Therefore, Chau Anh's conversational style is always engaging, thanks to her mature thinking mixed with a touch of wit and personality. This talented literature student shared: "Books aren't the only source of knowledge, but I enjoy the feeling of slowly turning each page."
As a unit consistently ranking among the top honored groups in the "Online Book Introduction" competition in recent years, the Duc Co Commune Culture, Information and Sports Center is also a testament to the persistent efforts in spreading reading culture in the community. Speaking with a reporter, Ms. Do Thi Thanh Tuyen, an employee of the Center, said she was very proud to represent the unit in receiving the first prize for the group category in 2025.

With the competition format being video presentations introducing books, the aim is to diversify the participants and methods of reading, meeting the requirements of digital transformation to serve the people. According to Ms. Tuyen, this year the Duc Co Commune Cultural, Information and Sports Center had all the required participants, from elementary, middle, and high school students to members of the Farmers' Association, Women's Association, and Youth Union, bringing home 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 1 third prize, and 2 consolation prizes.
"The experience of winning the overall team award for many years comes from the coordinated efforts between the Center and the Department of Culture and Information, the Department of Education and Training, and various associations, organizations, and schools to promote reading in the community, publicize the competition, and select the best quality entries to send to the provincial-level competition," Ms. Tuyen said.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Director of Pleiku Library, Head of the Judging Panel for the "Reading Culture Ambassador" competitions and "Introducing Online Books," assessment: 2025 will be a vibrant year, full of creativity, spreading reading culture and connecting knowledge, especially among the younger generation. In the context of the country implementing a two-tiered government model, a crucial step in organizing and managing society, the reading movement clearly demonstrates its role as a spiritual resource, contributing to raising public awareness, fostering consensus, and strengthening community bonds.
"In particular, the two competitions are even more meaningful as they take place in the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day on September 2nd, becoming a festival where love for the homeland and love for books are expressed through words, images, aspirations, and concrete actions," - the Director of Pleiku Library commented.

Regarding the "Reading Culture Ambassador" competition, Ms. Thuy stated that Most of this year's entries demonstrated the students' research, creativity, and profound thinking. Besides being neatly and meticulously presented, many entries had unique ideas and showed the ability to apply knowledge from books to real-life situations. The contestants not only shared their feelings about books but also proposed many practical and feasible initiatives and plans for developing a reading culture.
Meanwhile, the "Online Book Introduction" competition has expanded its scope to include not only students but also farmers, women, and youth throughout the province. Many videos utilized excellent filming and editing techniques, engaging narration, genuine emotion, and clear relevance to real-life situations.
