Mr. Duong Van Hau, along with the police force, went to assess the situation in Pu Lung village.

Enthusiastic, energetic, unafraid of hardship in social work, and skillful in mobilizing the masses… these are the comments of the people of Pù Lùng village, Nam Cường commune, when speaking about Party Branch Secretary Dương Văn Hầu. For 14 years, Mr. Dương Văn Hầu has been trusted and elected as the Party Branch Secretary, a respected figure in the village. Whatever responsibility he undertakes, he is determined to dedicate his strength to serving his village and homeland.

Previously, the lives of the people in Pù Lùng village (formerly Xuân Lạc commune, Chợ Đồn district, Bắc Kạn province) were difficult, with limited education levels and lingering outdated customs. With the belief that "if you speak the truth and please the people," everyone will listen,

Mr. Hau actively propagated the new way of life among the villagers, maintaining and promoting the national cultural identity; he coordinated with the commune police and local security forces to disseminate information and mobilize the people to participate in maintaining and ensuring security and order in the locality.

Mr. Duong Van Hau shared: "Previously, I always actively coordinated with functional forces, especially the police, to meet with people who believed in the illegal organization led by Duong Van Minh to propagate, explain, and clearly show the nature of this organization; at the same time, I understood their thoughts and aspirations to gradually influence and help them change their perceptions, attitudes, beliefs, and sign commitments to abandon the illegal organization. By the beginning of 2023, the influence of this organization had been completely eliminated in the area. The Mong people in the village always unite, help each other develop the economy , and enthusiastically participate in the movement of 'All People Protect National Security'..."

Mr. Duong Van Hau proactively monitored the security and order situation and actively mobilized the people to participate in the new rural development movements in the locality.

As the Party Branch Secretary of the village, Mr. Hau regularly disseminated and shared with all Party members and the people the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations in each stage of the country's and locality's development; coordinated with functional forces to organize the "All People Protect National Security" movement, with over 300 participants, and mobilized the surrender of 3 homemade hunting rifles to the local security team; encouraged the people not to participate in social evils such as gambling or gatherings that disrupt security and order. He coordinated in resolving nearly 10 cases related to internal conflicts, land disputes, and domestic violence. He participated in patrols and inspections to ensure security and order during major national holidays, the Lunar New Year, and other important national and local events and holidays.

Not only did he excel in maintaining security and order, but he was also an active advocate for the people's participation in new rural development movements. From preserving environmental hygiene to donating land and contributing labor to road construction, he was always at the forefront, directly disseminating information and explaining the long-term benefits to the villagers.

Through these efforts, he successfully persuaded three households in the village to donate 1,500 square meters of rice paddy land for the construction of a public road; mobilized villagers to actively contribute labor to build new rural roads; constructed 15 solidarity houses supported by the Ministry of Public Security ; assisted six households in relocating their homes due to landslide risks; and participated in other activities to mitigate the consequences of natural disasters…

Thanks to the dedication of Party Branch Secretary Duong Van Hau, the spirit of unity in Pu Lung village has been increasingly strengthened, a civilized way of life has gradually taken shape, security and order have been ensured, creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the locality.
