Turning the "5 No's, 3 Cleanliness" campaign into action.

Over the past period, the campaign "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's" (no poverty, no violations of the law and social evils, no domestic violence, no malnourished or school-dropping children, no violations of population policies, and clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley) has created a shift in awareness and actions among Women's Unions at all levels, contributing positively to the new rural development movement.

When mentioning the family of Ms. Le Ngoc Thuong - Head of the Women's Association in Go Noi hamlet, Nhon Hoa Lap commune, Tay Ninh province, many people admire their way of life, their parenting style, and their contributions to the local community.

Over the years, Ms. Thuong has been one of the leading households in implementing the campaign "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's to contribute to nurturing Vietnamese family values" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.

Besides actively increasing production and developing the family economy , she also spends a lot of time cleaning and tidying her house, planting flowers and ornamental plants, creating a green, clean, and beautiful living environment. Through this, she contributes to the local area's efforts to meet the environmental criteria, helping the commune maintain and improve its status as a New Rural Area.

Ms. Thuong shared: for the "5 no's" criteria, especially the "no poverty" criterion, she and her husband invested in rice cultivation on their 2 hectares of rice paddies. The remaining garden land was used to grow about 1,000 square meters of jackfruit. She also utilized the land around their house to grow various vegetables and produce, creating a source of clean food for her family.

Thanks to this, the family's economic situation gradually improved. Following the "Three Cleanliness Standards," she and her family members regularly remind each other to keep the house tidy; maintaining cleanliness from the kitchen and the interior of the house to the rural road on their family's land.

Many green, clean, and beautiful streets are maintained by women.

Ms. Thuong also does a good job of sorting household waste, collecting empty pesticide bottles and packaging after use and disposing of them in designated areas; she also plants flowers to create a green hedge nearly 30 meters long, covering the land of the rural road in front of her house.

She donated land and contributed her labor to build rural roads; participated in environmental protection, built flower-lined roads, and established a women's group model for sorting waste at source,... In daily life, her husband also often helps with housework and raising the children. Their two daughters have now graduated from university and have stable jobs.

Ms. Pham Thi Ba (residing in Dong Binh hamlet, Tan Tap commune) said: “Following the ‘building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean’s’ model, I planted a flower garden near my house, 500 square meters, because I wanted to make this road clean and beautiful. I hope that this Tet holiday, many passersby will have beautiful scenery to take photos of, like in previous years.”

Ms. Bui Thi Quyt (residing in Tan Thanh hamlet, Tan Tap commune) stated that, as a member of the Women's Union, she regularly participates in activities initiated by the local authorities and various levels of the Union. To maintain environmental hygiene and implement the objectives of the aforementioned campaign, she plants portulaca, chrysanthemums, periwinkle, etc. Every day, she spends about 30 minutes weeding, which not only beautifies her family's surroundings but also makes her village greener and cleaner.

Women from Tan Tap commune visited members' homes to inquire about and discuss building families based on the "5 no's, 3 clean" principles.

Women play a key role in building new rural areas.

The campaign "Building families with 5 'no's and 3 'clean's to contribute to nurturing Vietnamese family values" was launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in 2010. Over the past time, the campaign has been implemented by the Provincial Women's Union in conjunction with emulation movements and Union work tasks, and has quickly spread to each branch at the grassroots level.

These seemingly simple criteria, with the "5 no's" and "3 clean" principles, have gradually become part of the daily lives of members and women in each hamlet.

According to Ms. Vo Thi Nhu Thao, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Tap commune and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan Tap commune, in implementing the "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's" campaign launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union, which includes the "clean alley" criterion, the Women's Union of the commune has carried out many activities, especially building bright, green, clean, and beautiful roads; roads free of garbage;...

In addition, every year, during holidays or more recently, during the Party Congress of the commune, the Women's Union Congress of the commune, as well as the first congresses of other political and social organizations for the 2025-2030 term, the Women's Union organizes campaigns to clean up the environment and beautify roads under the responsibility of women through activities such as planting flowers, etc.

In addition, the Women's Union launched a campaign encouraging its members to register and implement the 8 criteria of the movement, and most members actively responded. Besides planting flowers in front of their houses, the women also proactively planted flowers along the streets, with some planting from 300m to 500m of various flowers. Every day, they dedicate time to caring for them... This work by the women has contributed to building new rural areas.

In the coming period, the Women's Union of Tan Tap commune will encourage its members to maintain the achievements made and develop new models, contributing to the further development and civilization of Tan Tap commune.

Women's association members respond to the new rural development movement with practical actions.

In the province, women's associations at all levels have proactively implemented activities connecting women with credit institutions, especially the Social Policy Bank and the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank, with a total outstanding loan balance of over 6,000 billion VND. They have also supported nearly 1,000 livelihood models and guided over 2,500 women in starting businesses. Many of these models have proven highly effective, helping hundreds of thousands of women members develop their economy, increase their income, and build prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families.

Simultaneously, the movement "Women actively studying, working creatively, and building happy families" and the campaign "Building families with 5 no's and 3 clean aspects to contribute to nurturing Vietnamese family values" continue to be implemented extensively and comprehensively by all levels of the Women's Union, linked with the movement of national solidarity in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Furthermore, the "Three Clean" movement has also left a profound mark on environmental protection, with thousands of projects and initiatives. Each local branch of the Association registered at least one practical project or initiative, such as building flower-lined roads, collecting waste, assisting impoverished households, mobilizing land donations for bridges and rural roads, etc. To date, the entire province has implemented more than 1,460 exemplary projects and initiatives, which have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party committees and authorities.

In addition, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented many social welfare activities, supporting those in difficult circumstances. Over the past five years, the Union has implemented many social welfare programs with a total value of over 270 billion VND. Notable programs include: "Millions of Gifts Sharing Love," "Godmother Program," "Support for Women with Disabilities," "Accompanying Women in Border Areas," etc. In particular, the "Godmother Program" has had a profound and widespread impact, providing support to 716 orphaned children, totaling nearly 15 billion VND.

After 15 years of implementing the "Building a Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" campaign, the Women's Union at all levels in Tay Ninh province has created strong changes from awareness to action among its members. With these achievements, the Tay Ninh Provincial Women's Union was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee for its achievements in 15 years of implementing the "Building a Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" campaign and participating in building new rural areas, giai đoạn 2010-2025.

The campaign not only contributed to the implementation of 11 out of 19 criteria for New Rural Development but also marked a journey of changing perceptions about the responsibilities and roles of women in each family and village. Entering the 2025-2030 period, the Provincial Women's Union has identified the need to effectively implement the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese Women in the New Era" and the campaign "Building Families with 5 'Haves' and 3 'Clean's".
