Binh Duong: Restoring urban order in Viet Sing residential area

The People's Committee of An Phu Ward (Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province) coordinated with the Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - JSC (Becamex IDC) to inspect and handle acts of encroachment on land and sidewalks and restore urban order in the Viet Sing residential area in Ward 4.

Chairman of An Phu Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hung said that An Phu is one of the most populous wards in Thuan An City. In recent years, the ward has attracted a large number of people from localities across the country to work and live.

A part of the population with low awareness and consumption habits, along with workers and small traders from other places coming to do mobile business (mainly fresh food, vegetables, fruits and street vendors, etc.) in densely populated areas and businesses, has formed spontaneous markets, especially in the Viet Sing residential area in Ward 4.

The formation of spontaneous markets has affected traffic, environmental sanitation and urban aesthetics.

Therefore, the Ward People's Committee has developed a plan to inspect and clear out the encroaching trading points on the road, sidewalks, and curbs; establish traffic safety teams to regularly patrol and clear out; establish blocking teams in areas where spontaneous markets may form in the ward. The implementation period is 2 months, from July 1 to August 31, 2024.

This helps create a strong change in the management of urban order and traffic order, applying measures to mobilize people to raise awareness of law compliance and environmental protection in the fields of road traffic, construction and production and business.

In addition, resolutely handle violations to gradually eliminate acts of encroachment on sidewalks, roadsides, construction, expansion, roofing, violating construction boundaries for business and trading, affecting urban aesthetics and traffic safety in the ward.
