The People's Committee of An Phu Ward (Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province) coordinated with the Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - JSC (Becamex IDC) to conduct inspections and address land encroachment and sidewalk encroachment, and restore urban order in the Viet Sing residential area in Ward 4.

According to Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Phu Ward, An Phu is one of the most densely populated wards in Thuan An City. In recent years, the ward has attracted a large number of people from all over the country to work and live there.

A segment of the population, with their still low level of consumer awareness and habits, coupled with the influx of laborers and small-scale traders from other areas engaging in mobile trading (primarily selling fresh food, vegetables, fruits, and street food), has led to the formation of spontaneous markets, especially in the Viet Sing residential area of ​​Ward 4.

The formation of spontaneous markets has negatively impacted traffic, environmental sanitation, and urban aesthetics.

Therefore, the People's Committee of the ward has developed a plan to inspect and clear illegal street vendors encroaching on roads, sidewalks, and pavements; established traffic safety teams to regularly patrol and clear these areas; and set up checkpoints in areas where spontaneous markets may form within the ward. The implementation period is two months, from July 1st to August 31st, 2024.

This helps to create a strong transformation in urban order management and traffic management, applying measures to encourage people to raise their awareness of complying with the law and protecting the environment in the fields of road transport, construction, and production and business.

In addition, we will resolutely handle violations to gradually eliminate acts of encroachment on sidewalks and roads, illegal construction, expansion, and the building of awnings that violate construction boundaries for business and trading purposes, which detract from urban aesthetics and traffic safety in the ward.
